Bio
Miles Polaski is a sound designer, composer and musician in Chicago, IL. He is the resident sound designer with Collaboraction and a music director/curator with Serendipity Theatre’s 2nd Story.
Miles got his B.A., double majoring in Theatre Arts and Communications in Broadcasting, at Flagler College, St. Augustine Florida in 2001. After graduating, he was hired by The Barter Theatre, state theater of Virginia, where he had been an intern for the past two summers. There he worked as an actor & director. He also began what would be come his passion – sound designing. He left The Barter in 2004, having sound designed 8 plays and acted in over 20 productions.
Miles arrived in Chicago during the fall of 2004. He joined, the now dissolved, Reverie Theatre Company as a company member and resident artist. He then became a company member with Serendipity Theatre Collective in 2007 and Collaboraction in 2008. Miles has had the pleasure of working with many Chicago theatre companies. Favorite past credits include Uncle Vanya – TUTA; Cadillac – Chicago Dramatists; A Christmas Story – Noble Fool; Talk Radio – The Gift Theatre; Dr. Egg – Redmoon; The Hairy Ape – The Hypocrites/Goodman Theatre; Diversey Harbor – Theatre Seven; Bloody Bess – Backstage Theatre; and Of Mice and Men – Steppenwolf Theatre.
